Kuching - Leading local concrete product manufacturer, Poh Yong Tiles Industries Sdn Bhd (PYT) will today launch a brand new colour range for its legendary roof tiles.

Since their debut in 1977, Poh Kwong 88 (PK 88) concrete interlocking roof tiles have adorned more roofs in Kuching than any other roofing product. However, this is the first major new colour release.

"The latest technology and extensive Research and Development by our team of professional engineers have enabled us to develop this unique new colour range," Poh Yong Tiles Assistant General Manager Thomas Wong said.

The exciting new colours are inspired by nature and will compliment the latest contemporary and classic house designs.

The premium colour range includes Sky Blue, Ocean Blue, Apple Green and Olive Green.

Meanwhile, the new standard colours are Terra Cotta, Coffee, Burgundy, Oak, Peach and Ash Grey which represent a pleasant palette of natural tones to blend with the latest house colour schemes.

The new range will compliment Poh Kwong 88's existing range of 4 Single Tone (Red, Brown, Orange and Grey) and 4 Double Tone (Red/Gold, Brown/Gold, Brown/Orange and Grey/Red) series which have had an enduring popularity in Kuching and major urban centres in Sarawak for almost three decades.

"We have kept our pricing very competitive. The new standard colours will retail for the same price as our existing range, while the premium range will be more expensive due to the costly green and blue pigments," Mr Wong disclosed.

All the roof tiles produced and marketed by Poh Yong Tiles Industries Sdn Bhd under the Trade Marked brand "POH KWONG 88" are manufactured to SIRIM Standards and certified to ISO 9001: 2000 Standards.
